Position Overview
The BCBA Trainee Supervisor provides supervision, mentorship, clinical observation, and professional development support to master's students working toward BCBA certification.
The BCBA Trainee Supervisor will support up to 12 master's students, providing 1 hour of supervision per week per student.
More than 70% of supervision hours will occur during direct clinical services, allowing trainees to receive hands-on feedback and mentorship in real clinical environments.
Supervision may include observing trainees during sessions with direct clients, working alongside RBTs, or participating in clinical team meetings.
What You'll Do
Trainee Supervision
Provide weekly supervision to assigned master's students.
Support up to 12 master's students.
Provide approximately 1 hour of supervision per week per student.
Monitor trainee development and provide ongoing feedback.
Support trainees in applying evidence-based ABA principles.
Help trainees strengthen clinical judgment, decision-making, and professional skills.
Maintain appropriate supervision documentation.
Direct Clinical Observation
More than 70% of supervision hours will take place during direct service delivery.
Supervision may include:
Shadowing trainees during sessions with direct clients.
Observing trainees working with RBTs.
Observing clinical implementation and decision-making.
Participating in clinical team meetings.
Providing real-time coaching and feedback.
Reviewing how trainees apply behavioral principles in clinical settings.
This hands-on approach is designed to provide trainees with meaningful opportunities to connect academic knowledge with real-world clinical practice.
Schedule & Availability
The BCBA Trainee Supervisor must be available during the following hours:
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM PST
This availability supports the scheduling of supervision during active clinical services and allows trainees to receive supervision in real-world treatment environments.
Clinical Mentorship
Provide individualized mentorship based on each trainee's experience and development.
Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
Encourage professional growth and continuous learning.
Help trainees develop confidence in clinical decision-making.
Support trainees in developing effective communication and collaboration skills.
Model ethical, culturally responsive, and evidence-based ABA practice.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with RBTs, BTs, clinical teams, and other Beyou professionals.
Participate in clinical team meetings when appropriate.
Support effective communication among trainees and clinical team members.
Provide feedback that promotes continuity and quality of care.
Contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely supervision documentation.
Document trainee progress and supervision activities.
Ensure supervision practices align with applicable BCBA certification and supervision requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
Follow Beyou's clinical, operational, and compliance expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
Current BCBA certification in good standing.
Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field.
Strong understanding of evidence-based ABA principles.
Experience providing clinical supervision or mentorship.
Strong clinical observation and feedback skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Ability to support multiple trainees while maintaining supervision quality.
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams.
Availability between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM PST.
Nice to Have
Experience supervising BCBA trainees or master's students.
Experience with fieldwork supervision.
Experience providing caregiver training or parent coaching.
Experience supervising RBTs or BTs.
Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Telehealth or technology-enabled clinical experience.
