A Different Kind of BCBA Role

At Beyou, we are intentionally designing the BCBA role differently.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually, based on location and BCBA experience
Status: Full-Time
Location: Fully Remote – USA
Direct Client Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week
Required Availability: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday–Friday

Unlike traditional BCBA positions built around 25–30+ direct or billable clinical hours each week, this position is designed around clinical leadership, decision-making, supervision, and people development.

You will not be expected to do everything yourself.

For each client, you will work with a clinical team of approximately three clinicians who help execute the day-to-day work needed to move the case forward.

Your role is to provide the BCBA-level clinical oversight that only you can provide: analyzing progress, making clinical decisions, adjusting treatment, guiding the team, supporting caregivers, and ensuring high-quality implementation.

Our goal is simple: allow BCBAs to spend their time doing the work that truly requires a BCBA.

What Makes This BCBA Position Different?

1. Approximately 10–15 Direct Client Hours Per Week

This is not a position built around maximizing your direct billable hours.

Your direct clinical work will generally average approximately 10–15 hours per week, allowing significant time for clinical oversight, supervision, decision-making, treatment review, team development, and other responsibilities associated with leading high-quality cases.

2. Every Client Has a Clinical Team

You are not expected to manage every component of a client's care alone.

Each client is supported by a multidisciplinary clinical structure of approximately three clinicians, which may include master's-level trainees, mid-level clinicians, behavior technicians, caregiver trainers, and other clinical team members depending on the client's program.

The team supports implementation, data collection, caregiver coaching, case preparation, and ongoing clinical activities within their scope of competence and supervision.

3. Your Team Helps Do the Work

At Beyou, our clinical structure is designed to support the BCBA in doing the work—not simply send more work to the BCBA.

Team members help prepare, implement, monitor, and organize clinical activities so that you can focus your expertise where it matters most.

You remain responsible for appropriate BCBA-level oversight and clinical decisions, but you are supported by a team that helps execute the plan.

4. You Develop Future Clinicians

A major component of this position is overseeing and developing master's-level ABA students, trainees, and mid-level clinicians who support case implementation.

We are therefore looking for someone who doesn't just enjoy working with clients.

You should genuinely enjoy developing people.

You will coach clinicians to think critically, analyze data, identify problems, propose solutions, communicate with caregivers, implement treatment effectively, and progressively develop stronger clinical judgment.

Position Overview

The BCBA serves as the clinical leader of assigned cases.

You will oversee program implementation, review clinical progress, guide treatment adjustments, supervise developing clinicians, support caregiver-led services, and make or approve clinical decisions within your scope of responsibility.

Rather than personally completing every clinical task, you will work through a structured clinical team and ensure that the team's work results in high-quality, ethical, evidence-based care.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership & Decision-Making

• Maintain clinical responsibility for assigned cases within applicable professional, payer, and regulatory requirements.

• Review client data and evaluate treatment effectiveness.

• Make clinical decisions regarding treatment priorities and recommendations.

• Review and approve appropriate program changes and treatment adjustments.

• Monitor client progress and identify when intervention strategies require modification.

• Review progress reports and clinical documentation prepared by the treatment team.

• Ensure treatment remains individualized, evidence-based, ethical, and clinically appropriate.

• Provide direct BCBA services when BCBA-level expertise is required.

Supervision & People Development

A significant part of your role will be developing the clinicians working underneath and alongside you.

You will:

• Supervise master's-level ABA students, trainees, mid-level clinicians, BTs, and RBTs as applicable.

• Review clinical work completed by team members.

• Provide clear, actionable feedback.

• Teach clinical reasoning rather than simply giving answers.

• Help developing clinicians learn how to identify problems and recommend solutions.

• Build clinical independence while maintaining appropriate supervision.

• Support staff in translating treatment plans into effective day-to-day implementation.

• Model ethical and evidence-based clinical decision-making.

We want BCBAs who see supervision as developing the next generation of clinicians, not simply completing a supervision requirement.

Caregiver-Led ABA

Caregivers are central to how we deliver care.

Beyou is developing and implementing innovative caregiver-led approaches designed to help families use behavioral strategies within everyday routines and environments.

As the BCBA, you will:

• Guide clinical decision-making within caregiver-led services.

• Support clinicians providing caregiver coaching and implementation support.

• Review caregiver progress and treatment implementation.

• Determine when strategies should be continued, modified, re-taught, or replaced.

• Provide direct caregiver consultation when BCBA expertise is required.

• Help ensure behavioral strategies are practical, culturally responsive, and sustainable within family life.

You should be comfortable seeing caregivers as active partners in intervention, not passive recipients of services.

Program Implementation & Quality Oversight

You will oversee rather than personally execute every component of the client's program.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring treatment implementation.

• Reviewing program fidelity.

• Reviewing clinical data and trends.

• Evaluating client progress toward treatment goals.

• Reviewing proposed program adjustments.

• Reviewing progress reports.

• Identifying clinical barriers and determining next steps.

• Ensuring treatment-team activities remain aligned with the treatment plan.

• Escalating and addressing clinical risks appropriately.

• Maintaining appropriate BCBA oversight of delegated activities.

Your Typical Week

Your week will look different from many traditional BCBA roles.

Rather than spending most of your schedule moving from one direct session to another, your time may include:

• 10–15 hours of direct client/caregiver clinical services

• Case review and clinical decision-making

• Supervision of master's-level trainees and mid-level clinicians

• Reviewing data and client progress

• Reviewing and approving treatment adjustments

• Reviewing progress reports

• Clinical team meetings

• Caregiver-led case consultation

• Coaching clinicians through complex cases

• Documentation and quality oversight

• Professional development and clinical collaboration

The exact distribution may vary based on caseload, client needs, payer requirements, and clinical priorities.

Availability

Although this position is fully remote, it is a full-time clinical leadership role, not an asynchronous position.

BCBAs must be consistently available virtually between:

10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday

Your schedule within this window will include client services, caregiver meetings, supervision, team collaboration, clinical reviews, and focused clinical work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.

• Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

• Experience providing ABA services to children and families.

• Strong clinical reasoning and data-based decision-making skills.

• Experience supervising or mentoring clinicians.

• Ability to oversee delegated clinical work while maintaining appropriate BCBA responsibility.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organization and documentation skills.

• Comfortable providing services and supervision through telehealth.

• Ability to work effectively within a team-based clinical model.

• Ability to maintain consistent virtual availability 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Pacific Time.
